The Author's Story
Akiyo is a 16 year old rising senior in high school in the bay area. Passionate and an animal lover since she was young, Akiyo wanted to combine her love for art and design with her passion for animals. Through volunteering for animal shelters and adoption signings, and teaching younger children english comprehension and speaking skills, Akiyo wanted to reach out to an audience that could help both advocate, and teach younger children about animal ethics and morals. Learning How to Treat Our Furry Friends does all that and more, and Akiyo is excited to showcase her work to the world, continuing to educate and advocate for animal rights and young children's learning.

My
book Seminar
On July 3rd I traveled to Tokyo, Japan, and hosted a seminar off of my book, hosting 10+ kids and adults ranging from ages 3 to 64. Using a slide show and copies of my book, I showcased the academic and ethical aspects of animal welfare and safety in today's society, educating others on the moral implications and impacts we can make to continue influencing society's outlook on animals for the better.

My Seminar: Continued
Here is a short clip of my seminar in which I use my prepared slideshows to further educate others on the moral and ethical implications and intentions of my book. I showcase a bit about myself as an author as well.
